Roundabout Diagram Questions

Roundabout study diagram with a car waiting and a car already on the roundabout.
Study diagram. The waiting car gives way to the car already on the roundabout.

What the picture is testing

It is the same rule as the mandatory roundabout sign. Clockwise circulation. Yield to the right. The wrong answers are "I stopped first so I enter" and "traffic entering has priority". Neither is true.

If the roundabout in the picture is empty, you do not invent a car. You enter. If a car is shown on your right, close enough that your paths meet, you wait. Read the written question as well as the drawing. "Who gives way?" and "who may enter?" are the same fact with two wordings.

Free practice question

These are PassDrive practice examples, written so you learn the rule. The VID screen randomises its questions, so the wording on the day will be different.

  3. Yes, if it hoots
