Practical Driving Test Preparation

What the examiner is watching

Moving off safely, mirrors before every change, full stops at stop signs, correct lane at a roundabout, giving way, hill starts, a turn in the road or a three-point turn, and parking. Stall once and recover calmly and you may be fine. Stall, panic, and roll back into the car behind and you are not.

The theory still matters. An examiner who asks who has priority at the next junction wants the same answer as the computer test. Keep PassDrive on your phone during the learner months. You already know the price: 4 lessons free, then US$4.99, with a 99.99% pass rate for learners who complete the course.

The car

Use a car you have practised in, roadworthy, with L plates on. In Harare, Appheal lessons are in dual-control cars, which is the calmer way to meet an examiner. Book the test while the learner's licence still has months left on its 12.

Questions people ask

Does a PassDrive mock replace the road test?

No. It prepares the theory and keeps the rules fresh. The road test is in a car with an examiner.

What if I fail the practical?

Your learner's licence remains valid until its own expiry. You practise the manoeuvre you failed and you rebook. You pay the practical fee again.
