What Happens If You Fail the Provisional Test?

The computer marks the paper at the end. There is no provisional licence "on condition" and no examiner who can add the missing marks. When this system was introduced, most first-time candidates failed. That has not changed for people who try to memorise a PDF.
Ask, before you walk out, which kind of question you dropped: signs, give-way diagrams, speed, or road markings. If the printout does not say, be honest about the pictures you guessed.
How to use the gap before the next booking
Do not rebook for the next morning unless you only missed one question and you understand why. Work in this order:
- Road signs by shape. Triangle warns, red circle prohibits, blue circle commands, rectangle informs.
- Who goes first. Unsigned crossroads: give way to the right. Roundabout: traffic already on it. Stop sign: a full stop.
- Diagrams. Same rules, drawn as a junction.
- A timed set of 25, because the real paper is not untimed.

What failure does not do
It does not ban you. It does not expire your ID. It does not stop you using a different VID depot later. It also does not mean the questions will be the same next time. The pool is large and the paper is randomised. Learn the rule, not the letter of one question.

How soon can I try again?
As soon as that depot will book you and you have paid the fee. Sooner is not better if you have not studied.
