VID test
VID Mock Exam Online
What to copy from the real exam
Copy the length and the mix, not a photograph of someone else's screen. Twenty-five questions. Signs, rules and at least a few diagrams. One sitting, then a mark. The Herald described the computer test as about 15 minutes when it was introduced, so a mock you wander through for an hour is training a habit you will not be allowed to use.
How to mark it
If the depot is still using the standard described when the computers arrived, you need 23 out of 25. Some practice banks mark a pass at 22. Set your own mock pass at 23 so you have a mark to spare. Anything under that is a study list, not a reason to book VID this week.
Finish the free lessons first so the mock is testing memory rather than first contact. Then use the unlimited mocks. The pass rate after the full course is 99.99%.
Questions people ask
Can I do the mock on a laptop?
Yes. The PassDrive app is the one to use for the full timed bank, on a phone, so it feels like the screen you will tap at VID.
Should every mock be new questions?
Yes. Repeating one paper until you score 25 only proves you remember that paper.
